New in Circuit
Smarter, behind the scenes
July introduces new AI-powered focal point improvements, CTA refinements, and accessibility updates that make building better tours faster than ever.
Smarter image framing keeps the focus where it belongs
A poorly cropped photo can make your tour feel unfinished — even when the content is strong. Images uploaded to your media gallery are now framed using AI that detects faces and key features, setting focal points around them to keep the most important parts of every image in view throughout your tour.
The best part: AI-suggested focal points are applied automatically when you upload images into the CMS, but you can always adjust them manually to frame things exactly as you want. Less fiddling, sharper tours.
More engaging pop-up Notice layouts
Text-only Notice Calls to Action can feel flat, especially inside a visual tour experience. Notice CTAs now support a layout option that places an image alongside your text, making pop-ups feel more like a designed moment than an interruption.
This gives editors more flexibility when building Notices, and creates a more inviting, visually balanced experience for visitors. A notice that looks intentional, not automated.
Manage Finished Tour CTAs across multiple tours
Updating Finished Tour CTAs one tour at a time adds up fast, especially when you have many tours. You can now bulk-add Finished Tour CTAs the same way you already do for Button and Timed CTAs, so updating ten tours takes the same effort as updating one. Less repetition, more consistency across your tours.
Improved keyboard accessibility
Keyboard users can lose track of where they are on a page when focus isn't clearly visible, making tours harder to navigate without a mouse. When users are navigating your tours with their keyboard, focused elements are now highlighted with an obvious dashed outline, so it's always clear exactly where their focus is. Less guessing, more confidence navigating.
Ongoing platform upgrades
Also rolled out this month
We're working hard to enhance Circuit's editor and user experience. A few recent updates and fixes to note:
Calls to Action can now be deleted without disrupting scenes that reference them, giving you more flexibility when updating your tours.
Choose whether your map pages appear in search results with the new noindex setting, giving you more control over where visitors land when they search for your content, or keep map pages out of Google search results entirely.
