We highly recommend naming all media files in your CMS as these are used for accessibility purposes, and makes it easier for you to find the images when creating content. There are two fields to name your images in your CMS:

  • Title: an internal title that will default to be the file name

  • Description: an external description that displays as a caption on images in guidecards, and is read when a visitor accesses the tour using a screen reader.

When the Circuit is assisting with production or post-production, we will add the media files to your CMS. Afterwards, you can go in and update Title and Description fields. Check out the video and instructions below on how to name/rename your media files.

How to Add Descriptions to Multiple Media Files

  1. Go to to Images in the left navigation menu

  2. Click on the Show Filters button > Accessibility > Missing Description. This should load all the images that are without an alt text description.

  3. Once you locate the images you want to name, write or use the AI Writing Assistant magic wand button to generate text in the Description field.

  4. Click Update to save your changes to each image.

How to Rename an Individual Media File

  1. Go to to Images in the left navigation menu

  2. Click on the image you want to rename

  3. Enter in a new internal Title or external Description either by typing or using the AI Writing Assistant magic wand button available for descriptions.

  4. Click Save to save your changes
