Audio guides narrate tour content to users as if they were exploring the space with their own tour guide. Leveraging audio makes it possible to deliver a more engaging, accessible, and immersive tour. π
There are two ways to add audio to your tours:
You can produce and upload Recorded Audio to your Circuit CMS
You can create Generated Audio instantly with AI voice profiles within the Circuit CMS.
Recorded Audio
The process for adding Recorded Audio Guides to your tours requires you to finalize your guide card descriptions, manually record audio clips or outsource your audio, and then trim and edit the clips. This recorded audio can then be uploaded into the Circuit CMS, assigned to your scenes, and published.
If any text additions or changes are needed, you will have to manually rerecord and upload new audio files. The process for recording audio does take longer than generating, but it may be preferred if you have a specific tour guide in mind.

Generated Audio
The process for adding Generated Audio Guides to your tours does not require you to manually record audio or outsource it yourself: instead, all you have to do is finalize guide card descriptions, select your AI voice, and generate. This can be done within the scene editor, so you can easily save and publish.
If any text additions or changes are needed, you can quickly go back and regenerate your audio, as well as add new audio to new scenes you may create. You may prefer generated audio over recorded audio if saving time is a priority, and you are happy with one of the AI voice profiles.
