Your Circuit CMS allows you to easily organize your scenes and other content with projects and groups. Understanding how to create, name, and work with projects and groups will help you keep track of your scenes and make sure they are in the right place. ποΈ
In this article, you will learn how to create, name, and move projects and groups, as well as how to move scenes into projects and groups.
What is a Project or a Group, and what should they be named?
Projects and groups allow you to organize your scenes within your CMS: specifically, your 360Β° Scenes, Gallery Scenes, and Matterport Scenes.
Projects and groups should always be named according to location rather than theme.
A Project is the top-level folder in which all of your groups and scenes are contained. For example:
A university or college might have a project for each campus.
Managed offices might have a project for each country their buildings/offices are located in.
A Group is contained within a project and represents an area where your scenes are contained. For example:
A university or college might have a group for each building on their campus.
Managed offices might have a group for each city they operate buildings within.

Create a Project
From your homepage, go to Scenes in the left navigation panel
To add a Project, click the + Add Project button
Click Project
Give your Project a Title. See the above explanation and visuals for help naming your project
Click the arrow next to where it says Save Draft and click Publish.
Create a Group
From your homepage, go to Scenes in the left navigation panel
A group can only be created within a project or within another group. Click the project you would like to add a group to
To add a group, click the + Add Group or Scene button
Click Group
Give your Group a Title. See the above explanation and visuals for help naming your group
Click the arrow next to where it says Save Draft and click Publish.
Where do Projects and Groups appear on the front-end?
The names of Projects and Groups are used in descriptive text that appears on hover of the scene title. This is why it is important to name them based on location.
In this example, the Scene "Main Stage" is within the "IBM Building" group which is within the "Toronto Campus" project.

Move Scenes into Projects and Groups
From your homepage, go to Scenes in the left navigation panel
Locate the scene that you would like to move, and hover over it with your mouse
A checkbox should appear to the left of the scene card. You can select more than one scene to move by clicking each checkbox
At the bottom of your screen, you should see a new menu. Click Move
You will be prompted to click Choose Another Page
Navigate to the project or group where you would like your scenes to be moved to. Click that project or group
Click Yes, Move These Pages
Reorder your Projects and Groups
From your homepage, go to Scenes in the left navigation panel
Locate the projects or groups that you would like to reorder
Click the More drop-down button at the top of your screen
From the available options in that menu, click Sort Menu Order
Where the checkboxes were, you should now see a six-dot symbol. You can now drag and drop your projects or groups into a different order. This process works to reorder scenes, groups, or projects
When you are finished reordering, the Circuit CMS will automatically save your changes
