FAQs:
Will this only direct between two points mapped via the Places tab?
While visitors can navigate between two spaces mapped with your places tab (buildings, scenes, and POIs), this functionality will also allow your visitors to utilize their location as a start or end point as well as input any known addresses or locations. When typing in the start or destination field, search results will separate and prioritize mapped locations from external locations, so that visitors can find on-site locations with ease.
Will the directions tab show an overview of route navigation?
Once visitors have selected both a start point and an endpoint, a route overview will appear with approximate travel time, distance, and step-by-step navigation, as well as a highlighted route.
Will this be able to use real-time location information?
Visitors will be able to enable location sharing which will keep users updated on their route progress. With this capability, users will also be able to utilize their current location as a starting point and be able to update the navigation as needed.
Which route will this directions tab take?
With facilitating on-site navigation in mind, the directions tab will take the shortest and quickest outdoor route possible, alleviating any unnecessary steps, distance, or time.
How can I share directions that I've mapped between two points?
Simply copy and paste the URL link from your browser that contains the start and end point data. When a user clicks the link, they will view the mapped directions between your two designated points.
