Gallery Scenes are a type of scene that showcase a series of images and embedded videos, which are very useful for creating virtual photobooks and can be used for lead generation. They can contain up to 20 items consisting of images or videos with descriptions.
In this article, you will learn how to create and preview a Gallery Scene.
How to Create a Gallery Scene
From your homepage, go to Scenes in the left navigation panel
Drill down to the project or group you want to create the scene in
Click + Add Group or Scene at the top of the project or group
Select Gallery Scene
In the scene edit page, you must now configure your tour
Add a Title for your scene. The title will generate the slug for the page: this can be changed by clicking the Promote tab and renaming the Slug
To add a slide, scroll down to Gallery Items and click + Add. For each slide, you will need to add the gallery image or video, and build out the guide card content. To learn more about how to build a guide card, check out this article.
To create additional gallery slides, click + Add and then add your chosen media and content
Click Save Draft to save your scene
To preview your scene, click the Preview icon and the pop-out icon. You can copy the Shareable URL and send it to others to view your scene before Publishing
Click Publish once you are ready to publish
Keep in mind that your scene will not appear live until it is added to a tour, which you can do by creating a tour or adding this scene to an existing tour.
Setting Your Gallery Default Style
Galleries offer multiple view modes, including Docked View, Full View, and both light and dark mode settings. These options empower your editors and end users to select the optimal layout for storytelling and content exploration.
Docked view: Docked view is useful when you have more text to accompany photos and videos. This is the current standard, enabled by default.
Full view: Full view is great for spotlighting photos and videos and keeping text minimal. For slides containing video, on play the guide card will automatically collapse and expand again when paused.
Light & dark mode: users can opt for dark mode to get a more focused view of visuals, while the classic light mode is timeless and clean.
To choose your default style in the CMS, follow the steps below.
Go to Settings
Go to Configurations
Under the Settings tab, you can set the Gallery Size and Gallery Theme
Gallery Size, choose between Docked and Full
Gallery Theme, choose between Light and Dark
Once selected, press Save
