Tours are essentially a playlist of your 360Β° Scenes, Gallery Scenes, and Matterport Embed Scenes. In this article, you will learn how to create a tour, add tour stops to your tour, and configure your tour splash page.
Creating a Tour
Go to Tours in the left navigation panel
At the top of your screen, click the plus sign
Select Tour
Now in the new tour Content edit page, you will need to configure your tour
Give your tour a Title
Add a Tour guide and Tour logo different from those set in your Branding if you would like
Set a Tour Default Image and an optional Tour Detail Image, image sizing recommendations here
Add Tour Stops
Add up to three Button Calls to Action and up to three Timed Calls to Action. You must create these Calls to Action before they can be added to a tour. For Button CTAs, the primary CTA will appear in the primary brand colour, with white text. The secondary and tertiary CTAs will appear in the colour white, with the brand colour as the text colour. The designation of the CTAs will display in the CMS in the same order and colours as on the front end. Here is an example:
Adding your Tour Stops
Scroll to the Tour Stops section and click Add Tour Stops
Click Choose a Scene
There are three kinds of scenes that can be added to your tour: 360Β° Scenes, Gallery Scenes, and Matterport Embed Scenes. You can also select and add entire Projects or Groups
Navigate to or search for your desired project, group, or scene and click it to add it to the tour
If you selected a project or a group, you will then be prompted to choose which scenes from that project or group you want to add by selecting the checkboxes and then clicking Add Scenes
Once you have added all of your desired scenes, you can reorder them by clicking the up and down arrows or clicking and dragging them to your desired spot. Pay attention to the scene numbers, which illustrate what order the scenes will appear in on the tour
Don't forget to click Save Draft to save your changes!
π‘ Here's a tip! Hold Control (Windows) or Command (Mac) on your keyboard while you select scenes you would like to reorder, then drag your selection to move multiples scenes at once.
Configuring the Promote and Settings Tabs
Under the Promote tab, you can choose to change the Slug associated with your tour group. You may choose to do this if your title is very long, as it is best to have a short slug
You can also choose to Hide your tour from universal menus. This is useful if you want your tour to still be live, but only accessible from a direct link
Provide a Meta description for your tour that will be displayed underneath a headline in search engine results and on the tour card. It should be one short and concise sentence
Provide a Description. This descriptive text should be longer, and will appear after clicking the tour card. Between one and three sentences is a good length. If this description is not provided, the meta description will be used instead
Under the Settings tab, make sure that the Guide Audio Enabled box is checked if you have Audio Guide. You need to check off this box for audio to appear live anywhere on your tour
Configuring your Splash Page
The splash page of a tour is a page you can link to visitors to start the tour. Your splash image is shown in three places: on your tour homepage as the tour card, on the tour page as the banner, and as the splash screen background.
To set up your splash page:
Go to the Splash Page tab at the top of the tour edit page
Fill out your Introduction paragraph message from your Tour Guide
If you have Audio Guide, you can click Choose an Audio Track for your Guide Audio Recorded audio can be uploaded here, and generated audio can be generated here
Your background image on the splash page is set with the Tour Default Image field on the Content tab of the tour
Set your Splash Logo, which looks best in white typography with a transparent background
Set your Splash Colour, which is the colour of the swipe animation that transitions into the tour. Your logo and colours can be configured in the Settings tab of the navigation panel
