Adding video content to your tour is a great way to increase your visitors' time on page and total session duration. All you need to start adding an embed video to your tour is a link to a video uploaded elsewhere: like Vimeo, YouTube, or QQ.
In this article, you will learn how to add embed videos to your Circuit CMS Embed Video Gallery, as well as how to edit embed videos that have already been added. You will also learn how to add videos to scenes, and even where to add set your homepage video.
Adding a Embed Video
From the Circuit CMS dashboard, click into the Embed Video tab
Now within the Embed Video Gallery, click + Add an Embed Video at the top right of your screen
Make sure to Title your video, and add the URL. Remember that Embed Video links must be from YouTube, Vimeo, or QQ
You can also add the video to a Collection or give it Tags
Click Save
Editing and Renaming an Embed Video
From the Circuit CMS dashboard, click into the Embed Video tab
Now within the Embed Video Gallery, click the title or image thumbnail for the video you want to edit or rename
You can now change its Title, URL, view the video, and change what Collection and Tags it is assigned
Don't forget to Save your changes. This is also where you can Delete an Embed Video
Adding Video Content to a Scene
From the Scenes tab, either create a new scene or navigate to the scene you want to add a video to, and click Edit
From the scene editing window, depending on what type of scene you have chosen, you will have different options:
Matterport Scenes can have videos added to their Guide Card Content. Click Video and then Choose a Video. You can then choose a video from your Embed Video Library or Create one directly
360 Scenes can have videos added to their Guide Card Content and hotspots, in the same way as outlined with Matterport
Gallery Scenes will require you to add a video by clicking + Add and then adding the main gallery Media. For every new gallery slide you add onto the gallery scene, you will need to add another image or video
Setting your Homepage Video
From your homepage, go to Tours in the left navigation panel
Locate your primary tour group, which should be the main tour group that all of your other groups and tours are sorted into. Click Edit
In the tour editing window, you will default to the Content tab. Click to switch to the Video tab at the top of your screen
Click Choose a Background Video. You can then choose a video from your Embed Video Library or Create one directly
Homepage Videos must always be Vimeo Embed Videos. If you do not have a Vimeo account, or the video you would like to use is not already uploaded to Vimeo, our Customer Success Team will happily set this up for you. Contact us at support@madewithcircuit.com for more information.
